  3. PROVIDING INITIATIVE FOR PHYSICAL & MORAL DEVELOPMENT

TYPES OF CAMPS

  1. EDUCATIONAL CAMP These include camps like youth forum , awareness camps, cultural exchange camps etc.
  2. RECREATIONAL CAMP. These are the camps that involve innovation and recreation of ideas. Camps included are moot camp , adventure camps etc.
  3. SOCIAL SERVICE CAMP. These camps are organised to provide our valuable services as our duty toward the society.
  4. TRAINING CAMP. Training camps are organised for young as well as adult leaders to add upto their qualities and capabilities.
  5. TESTING CAMP. Testing camps include various exams to test the knowledge of Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger etc

CAMP EQUIPMENT

INDIVIDUAL

BEDDING, PERSONAL CLOTH (AS PER WEATHER) SHOES, UNIFORM, SANITARY REQUISITES, PLATE, MUG, SPOON, KNIFE, FIRST AID / MEDICINE, NOTE BOOK-PEN, READING, MATERIAL, NEEDLE / THREAD / BUTTONS, MEALS, COMPASS, P-CAP, STAFF (STAVES), KNOTTING ROPE.

PATROL

TENT, GROUND SHEET, TORCH, SPADE & AXE, BUCKET’S, ROPES, MALLET, CANDLE, COOKING UTENSILS, FLAG & POLE.

HIKING

HIKING IS NOTHING BUT WALKING WITH A PURPOSE FROM PLACE TO ANOTHER PLACE - STAY & HAVE MEALS.
STAY FOR SOME TIME IS NECESSARY.

  4. LONG HIKE – 15 To 25 K.M.
  5. DAY / NIGHT HIKE

  8. PLANNING – AS IN CAMPING

  5. FIRST INSTANCE LESS DISTANCE
  6. WALK ON RIGHT SIDE OF ROAD IF NO FOOT PATH
  7. WALK ON HILL SIDE
  8. DON’T DISTURB NATURE & OTHERS
  9. DURING NIGHT – WHITE CAP/CLOTH WILL BE GOOD.
  10. NO OVER CONFIDENCE
  11. DRINK LESS WATER BUT OWN
  12. LESS FOOD
  13. SCOUT / GUIDE LAW
  14. FIRST-AID KIT IS MUST
  15. AVOID FUN / TALKING IN A DANGEROUS ROUTE
  16. DON’T LEAVE ANY BODY ALONE
  17. Prepare yourself by undergoing regular exercise for atleast 2 hours for 15 days before going for trekking
  18. COMFORTABLE SHOES
